A female staff of a popular coffee chain was recently caught verbally insulting a tourist from China after the latter had difficulty ordering in proper English.
Netizens have since slammed the staff for her rude behaviour, with some even lodging a complaint with the coffee chain on the tourist’s behalf.

In the clip posted on Douyin by the tourist, it showed her and another female companion attempting to order coffee at KLIA.
One of them was also seen utilising an artificial intelligence (AI) tool to aid her in her quest to order her drink in English.
However, their attempt to successfully complete their order in English without a hitch only seemed to vex the staff to no end, whose facial expression was anything but a ray of sunshine.
When the tourist asked how much would two drinks cost, the staff informs her that one of the drinks was unavailable in an impatient tone.
To top things off, she then concluded her explanation by muttering ‘bodoh’ (stupid) under her breath, which miraculously wasn’t detected by the tourist.
Outrage
Not surprisingly, Malaysians were rightfully embarrassed by the staff’s lack of manners and criticised her for it.
‘No patience to read the translation or explain, but mutters ‘bodoh’ instead. Walao eh, did your boss fail to pay your salary or were you going through a breakup or on your menstrual cycle?’
‘She called you ‘bodoh’. Although I’m a Malaysian, this behaviour is unacceptable. Send this clip to the coffee chain’s management. Calling you ‘bodoh’ is essentially calling you stupid. I apologise to you on behalf of all Malaysians.’
Meanwhile, some decided to go one step further and formally lodged complaints to the coffee chain and demanded that stern action be taken against the staff.
