CAR enthusiast Abdul Halim Keply, 41, has decided to sell one of his rare cars, a limited edition Nissan Laurel C35, to raise funds for the Palestinians.
With only three of these cars in the country, Halim aims to sell it for RM65,000 to alleviate the challenges faced by Palestinians enduring Israeli attacks.
Expressing his motivation, Halim stated in his Facebook page, “Gaza has been under attack for a month. Besides praying for the well-being of the people there, what we can do here is to contribute to Palestine.”
He emphasised that while prayers are essential, he wanted to take additional action by selling one of his cars and channelling all proceeds to a Palestinian fund.
Since posting the offer on his Facebook page, Halim has received numerous positive responses as there are some comments stating they are willing to contribute to the cause.
He assured that the car is in good condition, having recently made improvements to them.
Halim acquired the vehicle from a friend in Japan three years ago, and his wife fully supports his decision to contribute to charity through the sale.
The post has garnered 1,600 likes and 2,300 shares since Nov 7.
