So far during this GE15, we have seen people of all walks of life show off their patriotism and dedication towards the country by going through extreme lengths just to cast their vote.

From spending RM40,000 to fly back home from Saudi Arabia, to arriving to the polling centre in an ambulance, no one can fault the passion shown by our fellow Malaysians to make their votes count.

Recently, 2 couples went viral for turning up to vote at their respective polling centres in their wedding attire despite it being their “big day”.

In a post shared by Subang Jaya state assemblyman Michelle Ng, she praised the bride and groom who turned up at SMK USJ 12 to vote even though it was their big day.

To the bride in SMK USJ 12 – thank you for voting despite it being your big day! Wishing you and your husband a happy married life together!! image is not availablepic.twitter.com/vzIgB8s4r3

No excuses not to vote!

The two instances of the couples voting in their full wedding attire on their big days has prompted Malaysians to show their appreciation towards the couples for their dedication towards the country.

“Congratulations! And THANK YOU for exercising your rights.”

“Memorable day, vote and wedding together,” commented another user.
