No one likes their boss, and disliking them has been a common experience for people in workplaces around the world. But even if you don’t like them, would you allow your boss to follow your personal social media accounts?
A recent confession story posted by @meinmokhtar, shows an anonymous user expressing his concerns for how he’s lost his privacy ever since his boss followed him on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account.

The staff posted a rant about his boss’s behavior
In the post, the anonymous user described how he had vented about his boss and made a post to express his emotions.
Unaware that his boss was following his account, the user was later confronted by his boss, who showed him screenshots of the post and questioned him about it.
“At first, I didn’t realise he was following my account since he used a random profile picture. When he confronted me, he expressed his dissatisfaction with my comments about him even providing me screenshots as proof.”
“I blocked my boss on X”
The staff explained that after the incident, he blocked his boss on X. But it didn’t take long for his boss to confront him again, asking why he had been blocked.
The boss sent the staff a message about the block, and the staff felt pressured to unblock him just because he didn’t want his boss to go after him again.
“I feel like I’ve lost my privacy on X. I’ve made my Instagram account private now to keep him from following me there, same goes to Facebook.”
