A tense rescue operation unfolded when a python became trapped inside a home’s drainage system, forcing firefighters to step in and carefully extract the reptile.

In a video circulating on social media, a firefighter can be seen squatting beside a household drain where the python had coiled itself inside.

Stuck at the drain opening

Part of its body was tightly wedged at the drain opening, making it impossible to pull the snake out directly.

Despite multiple attempts to free the reptile by tapping its body and trying to pull it loose, the rescue team was unable to move its head or tail.

Eventually, firefighters used a metal rod to pry the snake’s tail out first, before slowly and cautiously easing the entire python out of the drain.

The video quickly sparked discussion online, with many netizens urging homeowners to stay alert about the condition of their drainage systems.

They reminded the public not only to ensure drains remain unclogged, but also to be cautious of snakes, centipedes, and other creatures that could crawl into homes and pose potential safety risks to families.
