Yesterday, Harimau Malaysia’s hopes of advancing into the AFF Cup finals were dashed after losing 0-3 to Thailand at the semi-finals.

Despite the crushing loss, Malaysians still had plenty to be proud off after a video showing fans singing in support of the Thai players went viral on Twitter.

No sore losers

In a video shared by FIFA, it showed a group of Malaysian football fans cheering for the Thai players after the second semi-final match at the Thammasat Stadium.

To show their support, they sang “Sawadeekap Thailand” with much gusto while waving the Malaysian flag.

This heartfelt gesture was gladly reciprocated by the Thai squad, where captain Theerathon Bunmathan could also be seen clapping along while smiling from ear to ear.
