THE boycott campaign against Western companies and products that allegedly support Israel is currently gaining momentum in Malaysia.
But now, some Malaysians have even gone to the extent of discarding their already-purchased products.
Malaysian man, Nik Mohamad Khairi recently took to Facebook on Nov 2 to share how his neighbour’s anger towards Israel benefited him in the form of free groceries.
In his post, he attached a photo of a bunch of newly-opened groceries with the caption, “My neighbour’s rage towards Israel is super high till he threw away all these groceries.
“Luckily, the trash pickup service had not arrived so I decided to take it. There’s nothing wrong right?”
Nik added that he was also participating in the boycott but he takes the route where he just doesn’t purchase goods that come from Israeli-supporting brands.
“They bought it already, but decided to throw it away. Most of the groceries haven’t even been opened yet.
“If anything, one should boycott with proper knowledge. This only benefits others,” concluded Nik in his post.
At time of writing, the post has garnered 6.1k shares and 49K likes.
