A shocking video has surfaced online which showed a lorry driver getting mauled by a black panther as he was answering the call of nature along Jalan Bukit Tangga-Seremban in Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan.
As a result of the attack, he was left grievously injured and is now being treated at the Seremban Hospital.

In the 16-second dashcam footage, it showed a lorry being stopped by the side of the road and a black figure attacking the driver.
As the car drew closer to the lorry, the black figure was revealed to be that of a panther, which dashed to the other side of the road following the attack.
As for the driver, he was seen struggling to get to his feet but subsequently collapsed by the roadside.
Photos of the man’s injuries were also shared widely online, where his face and head were left with deep, bloody scratch wounds inflicted by the panther.
Wildlife Protection and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) director-general Datuk Abdul Kadir Abu Hashim told Harian Metro that the attack occurred when the driver stopped to pee by the roadside.
He added officers from the Negeri Sembilan Perhilitan Department immediately conducted further investigations at the location following the incident.
Investigations found that a black panther is believed to have emerged from the nearby forest and pounced on the victim’s head before fleeing into the forest across the road.
“As for the victim, he’s conscious and will undergo Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) treatment,” he said.
Abdul Kadir added monitoring and follow-up patrols will be carried out and urged the public to be cautious when passing through the area.
