Weddings are usually happy occasions as it’s the time where close friends and family members witness two people publicly committing to spend eternity together.
Unfortunately for this groom, his wedding turned into a sad affair after the bride decided not to turn up at the eleventh hour, stunning guests and family members.

In a TikTok video lasting a minute shared by @demflacco, it showed the groom named Adam giving a speech to guests while dressed in his wedding outfit.
According to the caption, the bride reportedly had cold feet about tying the knot and decided to ghost Adam completely.
While most would probably break down in tears there and then, Adam managed to keep his composure and addressed the guests while being flanked by his mother and sister.
Assalamualaikum, good afternoon. I want to thank Allah for allowing us to be here, even though the original plans didn’t go as expected.
“Thank you for taking the time to gather here, and don’t let our sadness stop you all from enjoying yourselves today,” he said.
Adam then proceeded to apologise to guests for the unexpected turn of events, adding that what happened was “unavoidable and all part of Allah’s plan” before telling them to enjoy the food set before them.
Despite Adam’s calm demeanor, the speech proved too much for his mother to bear, where she was seen breaking down and wiping tears from her face.
Netizens express sympathy for groom
The clip, which has since garnered a whopping 5.4 million views, saw netizens expressing sadness for Adam and offered words of comfort for him.
‘Dear Adam, she’s not for you. There will be a better (bride) for Adam. Believe in God as His plans are the greatest.’
‘Your future wife will be handpicked by God. May Adam and his family recover from this wound in their heart and be compensated by God.’
Meanwhile, a netizen said he was surprised to see the bride being the one to call it quits as it was usually the other way round.
