If there is one hassle that no adult wants to have to ever experience, in losing their wallet or purse containing all of their important cards as well as cash. While the obvious loss of money would be enough to raise plenty of concern, one would also be worried about what other malicious intentions thieves may have with their personal belongings.
M’sian man unknowingly loses his wallet
In the case of one Malaysian, he was unfortunate enough to find out that his missing credit card had been used to make unauthorised purchases without his consent before he had could block the card in time.
Earlier today, China Press has reported how the man has lost his wallet while he was queuing up for a number to be seated in a restaurant located in Setapak. As he wasn’t aware that he lost his wallet, his personal belongings was said to be found by a couple who then used his credit card to shop for items across a period of 2 days.

Came to discover that a couple had picked it up, used his credit card to shop
According to the victim, the incident initially occurred on Friday, March 17th and he only found out that he lost his wallet when was about to move houses on March 19th. As he checked his statements, he realised that his credit card has been used multiple times and that was when he quickly lodged a police report and then called up his bank to block his credit card.
Tracing the digital footprints left behind by the thieves, he found out that the couple who took his wallet has gone on a shopping spree at a local drugstore. He then gathered all his evidence and then headed over to the drugstore in hopes that they’ll let him check the CCTV footage.

“I’m thankful that the drugstore involved was able to help me out by providing the CCTV footage”, he said.
The CCTV footage then showed that a couple has gone to the said drugstore and used his credit card to purchase items. While the girl paid with the man’s credit card, her boyfriend stood at the side watching her pay. After they paid, the couple was seen walking out of the store with multiple bags of items they ‘bought’.

“I never expected this to happen to me. I usually pay with Apple Pay and didn’t realise that I lost my wallet”, he said.

The man then revealed that it was his first time encountering such an ordeal. As he never expected that this would happen to him, he has decided to bring this matter up onto the internet, in hopes that the couple would then return his belongings to him.
Here’s a gentle reminder to always report to the authorities if you happen to stumble upon someone else’s personal belongings. And if you’ve lost any of your cards, be sure to immediately contact your issuing bank to avoid any financial losses.
