A father made the decision not to post bail for his 16-year-old son, who was charged with raping a female acquaintance earlier this month.

Despite the Magistrate’s Court setting bail at RM1,500 on June 9, the father refused to pay, intended as a lesson, after his son pleaded guilty to raping the 15-year-old girl, according to Harian Metro.

His father filed a police report against him

Prior to that, the father had accompanied his eldest son to the court proceeding, where the son was charged under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code. The father was later seen leaving the court without posting bail.

According to the charge, the accused raped the female acquaintance at a house in Batu Pahat between 4 PM and 5:30 PM on June 2. If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison and whipping.

According to a police report filed by the father, his son (who works at a food stall) allegedly committed the act while his mother was away at work.

The couple admitted to having sex 16 to 18 times

However, on the day of the incident, the 41-year-old mother came home earlier than usual and noticed a pair of women’s slippers outside the house.

After knocking several times, her son finally opened the door, and she discovered a woman inside.

Initial police investigations revealed that both the accused and the victim admitted to having had sexual relations between 16 and 18 times.

The case is being prosecuted by Deputy Public Prosecutor Firdaus Ruslan, while the accused is represented by lawyer Tan Song Yang from the National Legal Aid Foundation (YBGK).
