
Today, we reported of a brutal attack which saw a woman being set on fire by an unidentified man at a lottery outlet in Kepong yesterday morning.

In light of the incident, a politician is offering a hefty reward to those who have credible information on the suspect’s whereabouts, which will aid police in arresting him.
RM5k reward offered
In a Facebook post, Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng wrote that he was “sickened and outraged” by the incident that took place at Taman Pusat Kepong.

Pouring fuel on a woman and setting her on fire is an act of shocking cruelty. The person responsible must be found, arrested and made to face the full force of the law.
“To assist the police, I am offering a RM5,000 reward for credible information that directly leads to the arrest of the suspect,” he wrote.
However, Lim cautioned against approaching or confronting the suspect head-on as it may lead to a dangerous outcome.
What happened so far
The victim, who’s a 62-year-old woman, is currently receiving treatment at Kuala Lumpur Hospital, where she’s reported to be in a critical but stable condition.

She suffered burns to 50% of her body following the attack.
Police are now looking for the suspect and urged those with information to contact investigating officer Inspector Muhammad Amri Firdaus Jusoh at 010-9198209 or any nearby police station.
