Netizens are heartbroken over a family searching for their missing child for nearly two decades, expressing shock and urging greater child safety and awareness.
A missing child poster recently moved netizens, highlighting the heartbreaking reality of a child who has allegedly been missing for nearly two decades.
Shared on Reddit, the photocopied poster was spotted at an apartment building and contained an alert for a boy who went missing in 2006.
The boy, Nor Isa Nordin, was 10 years old at the time of his disappearance. He would be 29 years old today.
According to the poster, Nor Isa was last seen at the Komtar shopping mall in Johor.
Despite his disappearance 19 years ago, the family has never stopped searching and continues to appeal to the public for any information, urging anyone with details to contact his next of kin.
The missing child poster stirred a wave of devastation online, with many expressing shock over how long he has been missing.
“This is sad. A child going missing is heartbreaking, and even worse when there is still no closure after all these years,” one user commented.
Another user drew comparisons to the case of Nurin Jazlin, noting that the period during which Nor Isa went missing was also a time when several other children disappeared.
One commenter urged parents to be more proactive in keeping their children safe, even if it means investing in devices to track their whereabouts to help prevent such situations.
