Malaysians proud to hear the national anthem being played overseas

In the comments section, many Malaysians were pleasantly surprised by the street performer too.

Some believed that the busker was actually playing the song ‘La Rosalie’ rather than Negaraku, as the tune of the Malaysian national anthem was inspired by the French song. You can read more about the history here.

However, this doesn’t make sense as the street performer only played the song because he correctly guessed that @habibinourainalis was Malaysian, hence it’s fair to assume that he’s familiar with ‘Negaraku’.
