A recent video that’s been making the rounds online recently shows a car being transported on a long boat back to Mulu, Sarawak on December 30.

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Ferrera (@a.reraofficial) revealed how she’d often transport vehicles like cars and trucks back to her village using the said iron boat.

This isn’t the first time she’s done it

Ferrera went on to explain that the transportation usually passes through the Marudi jetty, the closest town to Mulu, on the way to their village.

She pointed out that this isn’t the first time she’s brought vehicles back to her hometown and mentioned that the only land route to Mulu is an old logging road that hasn’t been used in a long while.

“The iron boat can carry a load of up to 6-8 tons”

Ferrera mentioned how her dad used an iron boat to transport trucks and even 4×4 vehicles too.

“This time, I brought my own vehicle for my elderly parents back in the village. The cost of transporting a car to Mulu ranges from RM5,000 to RM9,000, depending on the type and size of the car. For trucks, the transportation cost can reach up to RM15,000 to RM20,000, depending on the risks and water levels of the river.”

In another video, she demonstrated how they managed to load the car onto the boat, using a crane to carefully lift it into place.
