M’sian Transgender Competing at Int’l Beauty Pageant Says Life is Tough for LGBTQ Community in M’sia

Miss International Queen (MIQ) Malaysia, Eva Foster, recently expressed her wish in the preliminary round speech.

“I want to fight for justice for our (LGBTQ) community.”

In a video shared by MIQ on its YouTube page, Eva said she was not at the pageant just to show her beauty but also to share the hard life that she lived in Malaysia as a transwoman.

“I’m not here just to show who I really am. I am standing here with my community because in Malaysia, we live a hard life.”

In her speech, Eva also said as someone who can fight for the LGBTQ community, she will fight for justice for the community, and she’s inviting the world to be part of her mission.

“I believe the LGBTQ community is very special in the world, and I will ask the world, together with me, to transform the world from hate to love, from discrimination against discrimination. Thank you so much.”

Her short speech was received by cheers and claps from the audience that the host said, “Wow, what a speech from Malaysia.”

Who is Eva Foster?

Eva, a 29-year-old businesswoman launched a social company that employs transwomen in Malaysia, including people of all races and backgrounds.

She participated in the MIQ 2024, the 18th MIQ pageant which took place on August 24, 2024, in Pattaya, Thailand. Despite not being listed in the Top 12, Eva has a message to the world, which is quite similar to her viral preliminary speech.
