Igniting firecrackers has become a must-do during the festive season, especially during Chinese New Year.

But have you ever seen firecrackers so long that they need to be lifted into the sky by a crane?

Multiple firecrackers lifted five stories high

A TikTok video has gone viral, showing a spectacular display of firecrackers being ignited from a construction crane in Kepong Central Park.

In the footage, a crane is parked near an open space, with its extended arm suspending multiple strings of firecrackers, reportedly reaching the height of five to six stories.

As the firecrackers are ignited from the ground, deafening explosions, flashes of fire, and rising smoke create an intense scene.

Meanwhile, red paper fragments scatter from above like falling snow, covering the ground in a vibrant red hue.

Netizens’ reaction

According to comments from netizens, this large-scale firecracker display took place on January 26, just two days before Chinese New Year’s Eve.
