It’s always heart-breaking to see stray animals scavenging for food.
Recently, a compassionate Malaysian woman caught the attention of netizens when she stopped by a highway to feed a hungry stray dog.
Her heartwarming act of kindness has since gone viral, tugging at the heartstrings of many.
The incident was shared on TikTok by the kind-hearted individual, Rouziehasmila binti Heziha.
In the video, her car is seen parked at the side of a highway while a black dog wanders in front of it.
She placed some food in a plastic cover on the grass near the highway. The starving dog wasted no time devouring the meal, clearly overjoyed to have found some food.
A Chance Encounter
Speaking exclusively to WeirdKaya, Rouziehasmila recounted how the touching moment unfolded.
“I was on my way to Melaka to rescue a cat in Alor Gajah. By chance, I stopped to wait for a woman who needed help rescuing a stray cat. Suddenly, I noticed a dog wandering back and forth amidst the busy traffic.”
“My phone was in my hand, so I recorded the situation with the dog, intending to make a video. Who knows, someone might see it and help the dogs roaming along the highway,” she said.
Rouziehasmila added that the dog looked extremely hungry and immediately showed a positive response when she offered it food.
The incident took place at the Dengkil R&R area, heading towards Seremban.
A Life Dedicated to Stray Animals
Rouziehasmila, who hails from Chenderong Balai in Perak, is no stranger to helping stray animals.
“I am a feeder and care for over 150 stray cats and two dogs. I prioritise treating sick cats and also rescue dogs for adoption. Every night, I go live on social media and sing to raise funds for their expenses. The gifts and donations I receive from the public go directly towards helping these animals,” she explained.
The video has since gone viral, with netizens flooding the comments section with praise for her compassion.
