A TikTok user had a nasty surprise after discovering worms inside a sausage bun she bought on the same day from the supermarket’s clearance section.
Bought and eaten on same day
According to TikTok user @c0qqu3teeeee, the sausage bun was purchased on Tuesday (June 17) at around 4pm and consumed at around 8pm.
A sticker on the packaging clearly stated the “use by” date as June 17— meaning the sausage was still within its shelf life at the time of consumption.

However, when she bit into it, she noticed something was off. Upon closer inspection, she found what appeared to be worms wriggling inside the sausage.
“Lucky we tore it first,” she wrote in the caption, warning others to always double-check their food, even if it looks fine from the outside.

The video quickly went viral, garnering thousands of reactions and comments.
One commenter wrote: ‘Thank you, miss. I can show this to my kids. Not blaming any parties but just to remind everyone to be more cautious before eating.’
Another chimed in with frustration: ‘Go refund lah. These people always play around with this kind of thing. Can’t sell already still want to sell.’

The OP later explained that the intention behind sharing the video wasn’t to shame anyone, but to raise awareness.
The incident also sparked debate over buying discounted or low-quality baked goods.
