The woman shared in her post that she grew up with a father who was consistently in and out of jail, and each time he was released, he would always find himself in trouble again.

As the eldest child, she disclosed that she and her sibling never had the opportunity to experience love from their father, as he was absent for most of their lives.

“My mother has had to endure life without a husband, yet she could easily choose happiness over waiting for someone who will never change. Even she admitted that she’s lost hope in him, but she still feels sorry for him.”

Her mother asks her to sell off her car to pay the lawyer

The woman mentioned that her mother has been frequently attending court sessions, to the extent that she’s running short on funds to pay the lawyer. It was revealed that her father’s hearing is scheduled for May, and the lawyer has requested RM50,000 for it.

“Where are we going to find that kind of money? We’ve even pawned all our jewellery just to pay the lawyer,” she added.

She then disclosed that her mother had suggested selling off her car to raise the required amount for the lawyer’s fees.

“We have no money”

The woman continued to explain that the car is secondhand and she couldn’t sell it, leading her mother to stop speaking to her.

“I’m not unwilling to help my father, but even if he were released from jail, what difference would it make? He was never there for us when we needed him.”

She mentioned how she never burdened her mother with anything; instead, she and her sibling always provided everything their mother wanted or needed.

“I’m getting married next year, and even that is a financial struggle. In addition to that, my sibling can’t pursue studies because we have no money.”
