In recent times, scams have become increasingly prevalent, and it's disheartening to hear about individuals falling victim to these cunning schemes. Recently, a Twitter user by the name of Faizah Halwa shared her experience of being scammed on Instagram, recounting how she encountered an account selling gold at an unbelievably low price.
Initially planning to purchase two gold bangles valued at RM400, she ended up making seven separate payments to four different bank accounts, totaling RM15,400.

In light of this incident, she cautioned others against buying gold from online platforms unless the source is reputable.
However, her message sparked controversy, with some criticizing her for being scammed and suggesting that she should have been more cautious and skeptical from the outset.
Meanwhile, others expressed hopes that she might recover some of the money, though they still held her accountable for the loss.
