Buying food outside of one’s home can sometimes pose a risk as there’s no telling whether foreign objects will be found inside it.
A woman and her father were left flabbergasted after they unearthed an adult (and very much dead) cockroach from within a packet of nasi lemak they bought from a roadside stall, disgusting many.

In a Threads post by the OP, she wrote her father was peeling a boiled egg when he saw “something strange” inside the nasi lemak.
When he pulled out the “strange object” from the nasi lemak, he and the OP were stunned to discover that it was actually a dead cockroach.
The OP later revealed in the comment thread that her father returned the nasi lemak to the roadside stall where it was bought from.
However, she claimed the stall workers continued to sell the remaining packets of nasi lemak, adding she’s unsure whether they had thrown away the one that had the roach inside.

Needless to say, netizens weren’t exactly delighted to see the roach and expressed horror over the OP’s discovery.
