For many years, wedding proposals have been one of the things women look forward to as it’s a perfect way to “seal the deal”. That being said, many men would go above and beyond to make sure that their significant other feels the love and sincerity.

Just recently, a woman has shared her thoughts on wedding proposals on Facebook. In her post she said,

“If your boyfriend decorates the hotel room and brings you there for a proposal, you should just walk away! He promises to love you forever but brings you to a place where hundreds or even thousands of people stayed temporarily.”

“If that’s the case, he may as well propose to you at Indah Water. That way the love you guys have for each other can be continuously recycled!”

She then followed up with her statement by saying that:

  • The hotel he brought you could be the hotel he brought his ex.
  • Doesn’t have any responsibility and would rely on someone else to help clean up the mess (i.e. balloons, rose petals and even confetti all over the hotel)
  • Some would have rose petals all over the floor. He’s hinting that just like the rose petals, everyone would step on you and he’s the only one who is willing to be with you.

Following her post, many netizens found it funny and ridiculous, so here’s what some of them said:

“Thanks for the advice, I’ll go somewhere that’s open air so the Gods of land & sky can bless our marriage and be our witness.”

“Looks like I’ll have to propose at a cemetery to show her that I will love her to death.”

Regardless of the venue, wedding proposals are personal to a couple and it’s best if we respect other people’s wishes and not impose our opinion onto others.
