It appears that Malaysians are becoming accustomed to boycotting, with calls to snub businesses and more should there be something they disagree with.

And it looks like Malaysians are now hoping to boycott a whole country.

The @Marchfoward Twitter page recently shared the news of how Thailand has approved a bill to allow same-sex marriages in their country.

They wrote, “Thailand’s House of Representatives have passed a same-sex marriage bill yesterday (March 27). 400 votes in favour and 10 votes against it. If this law is approved by the Senate and the King of Thailand, they will then become the 3rd country in Asia to allow marriage for LGBT people after Nepal last year and Taiwan in 2019.”

“Before this bill, Thailand did not allow same-sex marriage because marriage between a man and a woman is part of their constitution.”

According to a report by Astro Awani, the bill will indeed require the approval of the Senate and the King of Thailand before it becomes the law.

Thailand’s move to approve the bill left Malaysians calling for a boycott on Thailand, considering a majority of Malaysians are against the LGTBQ community.

“Boycott Thailand. Indonesia, here we go!”

Considering Thailand is among one of the top destinations for tourists from all over the world, will a boycott from Malaysians affect them?
