The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced that it will fully roll out a Single Sign-On system for the MyJPJ app using MyDigital ID starting tomorrow (1 May).
According to JPJ Director-General Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli, the move is part of a wider push to digitalise public services, aimed at boosting cybersecurity and making services more efficient.

In a statement, Aedy Fadly said the implementation will make it easier for users to access various JPJ services using a single, recognised digital identity.
He added that the MyJPJ app is an integrated platform offering a range of services to the public, including checking and renewing the Malaysian Driving Licence (LMM), Motor Vehicle Licence (LKM), checking summonses, and accessing other JPJ-related services online.
“Users will only need to use MyDigital ID as the main authentication method to access the MyJPJ app, reducing the need for multiple login details and minimising data security risks,” he said.
Aedy Fadly also explained that the new version of the app has been enhanced with additional features.
“The new features include MyDigital ID integration, a guest mode that allows access without logging in, a 24-hour smart chatbot, and integration of JPJeBid and JPJeQ into a single platform,” he said.

He also encouraged all MyJPJ users aged 12 and above to register and activate their MyDigital ID in line with the full implementation of the system.
For Malaysian Permanent Resident (MyPR) holders, the existing login method will still be available through designated alternative channels.
“The implementation of this Single Sign-On system reflects JPJ’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the department’s digital transformation while ensuring services are more efficient, secure, and user-friendly,” he added.
Malaysians can register for a MyDigital ID account through the app or by visiting any available kiosk.
