
Kota Kinabalu: The State Legislative Assembly passed the Energy Commission of Sabah and Gas Supply Bills during a special sitting Tuesday in a move seen to give Sabah more power to control energy in line with the Malaysia Agreement 1963.
Both bills were tabled by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, who is also the Finance Minister.
Only 44 assemblymen supporting Hajiji amid a recent power struggle between the ruling GRS coalition and a BN faction reportedly attended the special sitting.
