
THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested four former officers of former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, reported The New Straits Times.
A MACC source confirmed the arrest and said a remand order had been obtained against them at the magistrate's court yesterday.
The remand order was issued by Magistrate Irza Zulaikha for five days starting Friday for three of the four people.
The fourth person was remanded for three days and released today.
MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki when contacted by NST confirmed the matter.
The case is being investigated under Section 16a of the MACC Act for soliciting or accepting or agreeing to accept bribe. – February 23, 2025
