PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has denied it is investigating Chief Secretary to the government Zuki Ali, as claimed on social media.

“It is fake, no such thing,” MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki told FMT.

A social media user on X, formerly known as Twitter, said sources from Zuki’s office had confirmed that he was being probed for various issues.

The post had also listed multiple improprieties that Zuki is allegedly being probed for.

The claim that Zuki was being probed by graft-busters came in the wake of MACC probing several high-profile cases.

Former finance minister Daim Zainuddin and his family are currently being probed for alleged money laundering and abuse of power.

Last week, MACC confirmed it had taken a statement from former prime minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob to assist in its investigation into RM700 million in funds allocated for publicity and promotion purposes during his administration.
