
THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today recorded a statement from a political analyst who is also a witness involved in the investigation into a government-funded semiconductor project worth approximately RM1.1 billion.
According to sources, the witness was present at the MACC Putrajaya Headquarters to provide information and assist in the investigation into the case.
"The witness arrived at the MACC Putrajaya Headquarters at 10 am today, and the focus now is to complete the investigation," the source said.
Meanwhile, Senior Director of the Investigation Division, Datuk Mohd Hafaz Nazar, when contacted, confirmed the matter and said that the case is being investigated under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009.
The witness was released at 6.30 pm this evening and will resume tomorrow at 10 am. – April 28, 2026
