KOTA KINABALU: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) plays a role not only in combating corruption but also in helping the government curb long-term leakages, said Deputy Chief Commissioner (Operations) Datuk Seri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya.

He said Sabah’s efforts to prevent financial leakages would have lasting benefits for all stakeholders.

Speaking at the Sabah MACC director handover ceremony on Wednesday, Ahmad Khusairi said the agency must support state policies that address both corruption and administrative inefficiencies.
