THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has seized luxury assets worth more than RM2.2 million following a search of a residence on the East Coast believed to belong to the second wife of a former top Army officer (PTD).

According to sources, the search this morning found two suitcases believed to be used to store the items.

“The inspection found 23 units of Rolex watches of various models with an estimated current market value of approximately RM2 million,” the source said.

The source added that the MACC also seized several pieces of jewellery belonging to an individual believed to have abetted the suspect.

The value of the seizure is estimated to be approximately RM225,000.

The latest items were obtained in the agency's investigation into several Army procurement tender projects that the MACC has been actively conducting for the past few weeks.

MACC also seized six bank accounts believed to belong to a senior Malaysian Army officer and his family members to assist in the investigation into alleged corruption involving the procurement of projects.

MACC Investigation Division senior director Datuk Zainul Darus confirmed the matter. – January 10, 2026
