Machang MP says he will not join another party amid Bersatu suspension

WAN Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal, the Member of Parliament for Machang, has confirmed he will not join another political party despite his suspension from BERSATU.

“No, I will not join another party. For now, we will strive to set BERSATU right. God willing, Allah will help because we have done nothing wrong,” he told reporters at a press conference in the Parliament building today.

Wan Ahmad Fayhsal’s remarks follow disciplinary action by BERSATU, which previously dismissed the membership of Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Wan Saiful Wan Jan and suspended Wan Ahmad Fayhsal for one parliamentary term. The decisions relate to an affidavit controversy linked to efforts to urge the resignation of party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Despite the suspension, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal stressed his commitment to remaining in BERSATU and supporting its internal reform efforts. - October 28, 2025
