Directed by Woo Min-ho, who also worked with Hyun Bin on the action-drama film Harbin (2024), this period political action-thriller series is written by Park Eun-kyo and Park Joon-suk. It features an ensemble cast, which includes Hunt (2022) star Jung Woo-sung; Woo Do-hwan, best known for hits such as Bloodhounds (2023) and Mr. Plankton (2024); Won Ji-an, who portrayed Player 380 in Squid Game season 2 (2024); and The Glory (2022-2023) actor Jung Sung-il.

What is the plot of the K-drama?
Made in Korea is set in South Korea during the 1970s. It follows Baek Ki-tae (played by Hyun Bin), a ruthless KCIA (Korean Central Intelligence Agency) operative whose sole aim is to amass wealth and power, even if it means working through illegal networks. Meanwhile, Jang Geon-young (played by Jung Woo-sung) is a relentless prosecutor determined to expose the country’s deep-rooted corruption.
As Jang investigates Baek’s smuggling operation and its links to powerful officials, their clash escalates into a deadly rivalry between ambition and justice — drawing in lobbyists, investigators and politicians in a dangerous web of conspiracies that could reshape the nation.
