KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau (UPKO – Tuaran) has proposed that the Ministry of National Unity print and distribute copies of the Federal Constitution book for free to enhance public awareness of their rights.

He said this initiative would help Malaysians of all backgrounds better understand the Constitution, fostering a stronger sense of patriotism while ensuring that they are aware of the rights protected under the law.

“That is why I propose that the Minister of National Unity print and distribute these books for free, starting with the Rukun Tetangga (KRT) areas under the ministry’s supervision.

“This would not only raise awareness among the public but also among local leaders and even elected representatives when voicing opinions, making decisions, or taking action,” he said during the debate on the Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2025 in Parliament.

Tangau stressed that the Federal Constitution is crucial as it serves as a safeguard for all citizens.
