KUALA LUMPUR: Tuaran MP Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau (pic) has raised concerns in Parliament over delays in upgrading the road from the Berungis roundabout to Tuaran town.

He noted that the Works Ministry had previously informed that physical works were scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2025, but visible progress has yet to be seen.

In a written reply, the ministry said the project, officially launched on 12 March 2024, aims to widen 2.7 kilometres of Jalan Berungis (Route 503) into a four-lane dual carriageway, build a U-turn flyover, and replace an existing culvert with a new bridge.

Madius has urged all agencies involved to expedite pending processes so that the long-awaited road upgrade can be completed on schedule for the benefit of Tuaran residents.
