RANAU: A 22-year-old local was arrested after an inspection found two bottles of vape liquid suspected of containing the prohibited substance “magic mushroom”.
The Ranau IPD Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division (BSJN) inspected the suspect’s vehicle and found a red vape unit along with two bottles of suspicious liquid at 5.45pm on Wednesday.
The suspect was taken to the Ranau IPD BSJN office for further investigation. A background check found he had no previous criminal record.
This case is being investigated under Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 which provides for a fine of up to RM100,000 or up to five years’ jail, or both, on conviction.
