
SHAH ALAM: Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad made his first-ever appearance at PAS’s annual muktamar this morning, greeted by shouts of “takbir” from party members.
The former Langkawi MP was among the guests invited to attend the party’s muktamar, along with Perikatan Nasional chairman Muhyiddin Yassin, who is expected to give a speech.
“Welcome Tun Mahathir to PAS’s muktamar,” announced PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan, as delegates cried “takbir”.
PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang then greeted Mahathir, who took his seat on the main stage.
