Mainz star Moussa Niakhate is set to become a Nottingham Forest player this week.
The Sun reports that the highly-rated defender will have his medical early this week before signing his contract.
Niakhate will then fly out to join his teammates for their pre-season preparations.
Mainz are receiving a fee in the region of £8.6 million plus £4.2 million in add-ons.
The central defender will be a welcome addition to Steve Cooper's team, as they prepare for the upcoming Premier League season with a camp in Spain.
