- A major search and rescue operation has been launched after a man fell overboard from a cruise ship off the Scottish coast.
- Police Scotland were alerted at 8.55am on Friday that a passenger was missing from the MS Ambition, roughly 40 nautical miles off Anstruther, Fife.
- The Ambassador Cruise Line vessel was en route from Lerwick to Dundee as part of the 2026 Solar Eclipse Cruise.
- A thorough search of the vessel was carried out after it berthed in Dundee before passengers were permitted to disembark.
- HM Coastguard and Police Scotland are continuing search efforts for the missing passenger, whose next of kin have been notified.
