Majority agricultural grads are snatched up

Kota Kinabalu: Some 111 graduates were awarded Agricultural Certificates while another 92 Agricultural Vocational Certificates at the 51st Sabah Agricultural Institute and 39th Sabah Agricultural Department Vocational Training Centre Convocation ceremony, on Monday.

Seventy-five of them have already been offered to work with government and private agencies where they conduct industrial training.

These numbers, according to Sabah Agriculture and Fisheries Minister (Maffi) Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan, show that agricultural and plantation industry graduates are on demand.

He said the cumulative grade point average for both institutions is 99.3 per cent where students scored 3.0 and above.
