Kota Kinabalu: Countries around the Coral Triangle should work together to clean up ocean plastic because plastic pollution affects everyone and no single country can solve the problem alone, said Timor-Leste President Dr Jose Ramos-Horta.

His statement speaks volumes, especially from a country leader who does not just talk about environmental problems but gets his hands dirty, literally.

Every Saturday, he would gather over 100 local kids and take them to the beach. Each child got a dollar to help clean up plastic trash.
