If there was ever a reason to linger a little longer over lunch or stretch a weeknight dinner into a full evening out, TRX Eats is it. The Exchange TRX’s annual food campaign is back this May, and this year it arrives with a full programme of dining rewards, weekend activities, and eye-catching installations that make the case for the precinct as one of Kuala Lumpur’s most compelling food destinations.

At its core, TRX Eats is built around a spend-and-reward mechanic that turns everyday dining into something a little more exciting. Diners who spend RM100 in a single receipt on the same day can redeem an exclusive Snack Squad Cup, part of a collectible blind-box series that adds an element of surprise to every visit. Step things up to RM500 across two receipts in one day, and the reward upgrades to a Snack Squad Bowl Set, featuring four bowls with quirky squad characters. It is a tiered incentive that encourages you to try that new restaurant you have been meaning to visit, or return to a favourite just one more time.

Participating tenants are also rolling out their own promotions throughout May. Matcha Eight is offering a buy-one-get-one deal, while Makii Makii and Cafe Colombo are both running 20% discounts across their menus. MODU is throwing in two complimentary servings of Tofu G Gelato with any purchase of its ‘2 Gather’ set, Shake Shack is rewarding burger orders with a free serving of crinkle cut fries, and Amazonas is pairing a small plate and grill combination with two complimentary glasses of Penfolds wine. In short, there is something for every appetite and budget.

Beyond the dining table, the campaign has also prepared something to boost the overall visitor experience. Jessica Leong, Head of Marketing at The Exchange TRX, puts it plainly: “With TRX Eats, we are inviting guests to explore the breadth of our culinary offerings while engaging with the space in a more interactive and meaningful way.”

Visitors will find a series of installations positioned across the precinct, from the Dining Terrace to the MRT Plaza Entrance and Concourse Level, designed to encourage exploration and social sharing. The Snap and Claim photo booth, decked out in pastels, invites guests to pose and draw vouchers on the spot, while the Mirror Moments installation offers a set of circular mirrors against vivid backdrops that are tailor-made for an Instagram-worthy photograph. Daily dining coupons are also available for pick-up at various locations throughout the venue, which adds a small treasure-hunt quality to the experience.

Weekends bring an additional layer of fun, with a rotating roster of hands-on workshops and activities. Guests can try their hand at flower bookmark crafting, friendship bracelet making, or pin badge customisation, all of which make for a pleasant way to spend an afternoon with family or friends. For younger visitors, the Kids Food Hunt on 24 May puts a food-themed spin on trick-or-treat, with participating outlets offering complimentary snacks to little ones taking part.

Taken together, TRX Eats positions itself as more than a dining promotion. It is an attempt to animate the precinct across an entire month, rewarding loyalty, drawing in new visitors, and giving people a genuine reason to spend time at The Exchange TRX beyond a single meal. Whether you come for the food, the freebies, or simply the atmosphere, May is shaping up to be a good time to visit.
