Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s up and coming tenpin bowler Natalie Chong Yi Wen, who received the call-up from the national youth squad, is urged to grab the opportunity to seek for more success in the sport.

Sabah Sports Council director Asneh Mohd Noor made the call when she paid him a visit accompanied by her mother Vivien Lee and coach Jacky Ting at his office on Wednesday.

“This is only the first step for her and hopefully she will overcome the challenges ahead.

He is hoping that Natalie together with fellow Sabahans Nur Aleeya Syakirah Awang Ali and Nur Jeehan Iezzaty Suffian who are also in the national youth team will be able to deliver the goods for the State.

Meanwhile Natalie, who was delighted with the call-up expressed her gratitude to the support given by Sabah Sports Council.

She is set to relocate to Kuala Lumpur on January 27 to begin her studies at Kingsley International School on February 2 before her training with the national team the next day.
