THE administration of Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, in collaboration with the Trabaho party-list group, launched its 1st Mega Job Fair and Skills and Livelihood Training for 2026, offering over 7,000 employment opportunities.

“This is just one priority goal of the local government to bring more opportunities for the residents this new year,” Sandoval said.

The activity was held at the Malabon City Square shopping mall, where the local government partnered with 40 local and six overseas companies that offered thousands of employment positions, primarily for Malabueños seeking employment.

Sandoval and City Administrator Alexander Rosete said that the mega job fair, as well as skills and livelihood training, was aimed at employing residents, especially the youth.

They expressed gratitude to the party-list that partnered with the city government, as well as local and foreign companies, for choosing Malabon for the job fair. The city’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO) said that among the participating companies was United Philippine Lines, a local maritime company that offers job opportunities for seafarers.

Other companies at the job fair were employing brand ambassadors, machine operators, clerks, production workers, engineers, electricians, helpers, customer service representatives, drivers, delivery crews, merchandisers, nurses, encoders, and other office or skill-based jobs.

Rosete said that a one-stop shop where job seekers can apply for documents from the Philippine Statistics Authority, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, Social Security System, Philippine National Police, Land Transportation Office, Department of Labor and Employment, and other government agencies was opened during the event.

Those hired on the spot processed their documents for free.
