Malapitan vows more accessible city services

CALOOCAN City Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan said his second term as mayor was an opportunity to build on the foundation established during his first term.

“A year has passed since we once again accepted the responsibility of leading our city. We feel even more deeply the weight of the trust our fellow citizens have placed in us, which is why we continue to work tirelessly to improve the services and lives of every ‘Batang Kankaloo’ (Caloocan Kid),” Malapitan said in his State of the City Address on Wednesday.

Over the past year, he said the city government continued to prioritize healthcare, education, social protection, livelihood and employment, peace and order, infrastructure, environmental programs, and the efficient delivery of basic government services.

Malapitan said the progress of Caloocan cannot be measured solely by infrastructure and physical development, but also by the accessibility of government services and the opportunities made available to its people.

“Through our collective efforts, we are able to help one another, because when our fellow citizens progress, Caloocan progresses,” he said.
