
KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines has been named the world’s fastest-growing airline brand in the Airlines 50 2025 report by Brand Finance, marking a 209 per cent surge in brand value to US$607 million and re-entering the global top 50 at 45th place after a decade.
This comeback is attributed to the airline’s fleet renewal, route realignment, digital transformation, and international expansion, alongside a strong domestic reputation reflected in its AA+ brand strength rating and BSI score of 78.2/100.
Meanwhile, AirAsia rose two spots to 24th, with its brand value climbing 66 per cent to US$1.9 billion, driven by network expansion to cities like Chongqing and Nairobi, improved load factors, and high travel demand.

Globally, the total brand value of the top 50 airlines jumped 29 per cent to US$132.6 billion, with Delta retaining the top spot as the most valuable airline brand and Southwest crowned the strongest in terms of brand strength.
