KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia Airlines has been named the world’s fastest-growing airline brand in the Airlines 50 2025 report by Brand Finance, marking a 209 per cent surge in brand value to US$607 million and re-entering the global top 50 at 45th place after a decade.

This comeback is attributed to the airline’s fleet renewal, route realignment, digital transformation, and international expansion, alongside a strong domestic reputation reflected in its AA+ brand strength rating and BSI score of 78.2/100.

Meanwhile, AirAsia rose two spots to 24th, with its brand value climbing 66 per cent to US$1.9 billion, driven by network expansion to cities like Chongqing and Nairobi, improved load factors, and high travel demand.
