Malaysia Airlines resumes London flights after Heathrow power outage

MALAYSIA Airlines has announced the resumption of its flight operations to and from London Heathrow Airport today following a major power outage caused by a fire at a nearby electrical substation.

In a post on X, the airline confirmed that the flights MH4 (Kuala Lumpur to London Heathrow) and MH1 (London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur) will operate as scheduled.

The airline has advised passengers to update their contact details in the ‘My Booking’ section on the website or mobile app to ensure they receive important updates promptly.

Heathrow Airport was forced to close on Friday after the fire led to a significant power failure.

According to reports, more than 1,300 flights, including four Malaysia Airlines services, were disrupted, with some flights being diverted or returning to their points of origin. – March 22, 2025
