Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof says UK remains a key strategic partner as both nations discuss green energy and sustainable development initiatives

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia and the United Kingdom continue to strengthen cooperation in green energy and sustainable development, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

In a Facebook post, Fadillah said the UK remains a key strategic trading partner for Malaysia, with various initiatives being discussed for mutual benefit.

“I received a courtesy call today from His Excellency Ajay Sharma, the British High Commissioner to Malaysia, at the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) in Putrajaya.

“A key focus of our discussion was cooperation on green energy and sustainable development,” he said.

Fadillah added that Ajay also committed to further strengthening the nations’ collaboration in the sector toward a more sustainable future.
