Kota Kinabalu: The Malaysian Aviation Group (MAG) fraternity recently brought the joy of Malaysia Day celebrations to the Rumah Amal Kasih Kingfisher orphanage as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).

MASWings led a team from MAG for a half-day charity visit to the orphanage that houses 28 orphans aged four to 20, including single mothers seeking temporary shelter and employment.

Forty MAG fraternity members based in Kota Kinabalu participated in the visit on Malaysia Day eve, led by MASwings Chief Operating Officer Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar. The team arrived at the home as early as 8.30am and held activities such as gotong royong, in-door games, motivational talks, Jalur Gemilang colouring and completing a mural painting to beautify an empty wall outside the home’s main gate.

Nasaruddin said: “Our main intent is to showcase MAG as a caring corporate entity concerned for the wellbeing and welfare of those in need.”

Capt Nasaruddin presented all essential food items, stationary and soft toys to home caretaker Ustaz Jamrie Saparih.
