Your access to the good life in Malaysia

There’s much to see, but even more to do in Kuala Lumpur. With plenty of new skyscrapers and shopping malls, new attractions, and an almost suspicious number of international acts rolling through just this year alone, the city keeps giving locals and visitors alike a reason to venture out. The opening of Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur early this year couldn’t have come at a better time, and it’s one more reason to keep adding to that ever-growing to-do or visit list.

Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia’s first Kimpton—a name under IHG Hotels & Resorts’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio — and it already starts with the name itself. Naluria is a blend of two Malay words: naluri, meaning instinct, and ria, meaning joy. Together, they capture the essence of following one’s instinctive inner voice towards the pursuit of joy — and a stay here is exactly that.

Fast-forward — you’ve booked your stay in one of the 466 beautifully-designed rooms, checked in, unpacked, and you’re staring down a long list of things to do, from exploring the facilities to shopping at The Exchange TRX. There’s plenty to cover, but this time, we’re putting the spotlight on what really matters: the food. Because at Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur, you can wine and dine from morning until night, and we mean it literally. The hotel is home to four dining venues: Tuai + Till, Four Siblings, Sabato’s, and Rise & Grind. Read on to find out what’s worth ordering at each.

Rise & Grind

Rise & Grind is exactly what its name suggests — it’s the place to start your morning grind. A contemporary grab-and-go espresso bar open to both hotel guests and walk-ins, it serves quality coffee and pastries from morning 7:00AM through to 5:00PM. The drinks and food menu are curated with local tastes in mind, spanning everything from locally roasted beans by homegrown specialty roasters, to locally-infused desserts like the Teh Tarik Madeleine, as well as its seasonal petit cakes and whole cakes. The house-made pastries lean local too, with pandan kaya taking centre stage as a nod to Head Pastry Chef Boon’s Melaka heritage.

What to order: English Breakfast Sandwich and the Golden Madeleine

Tuai + Till

Rooted in the farm-to-table philosophy, Tuai + Till is your all-day dining destination — celebrating the cycle of local harvest through a unique dual-concept experience. Together, they serve one generous breakfast spread, but once the morning wraps up, Tuai + Till each come into their own, with separate culinary identities and open kitchen concepts to match. Tuai stays close to home, paying homage to local and Peranakan flavours nurtured over generations — the kind that bring familiar, childhood memories to the table. Till, on the other hand, takes a more global turn, transforming into a modern brasserie by day with international cuisine anchored in organic and sustainable sourcing.

What to order at Tuai: Otak-Otak Toast, Braised Beef Short Rib Rendang, Ulam Fried Rice
What to order at Till:
Tandoori Lamb Chops, Salmon Bouillabaisse, Kunafa Indulgence

Sabato’s

The newest venue to open at Kimpton Naluria is Sabato’s — Malaysia’s first and only retro-inspired Italian-American restaurant. Stepping into the space immediately transports you back to the 70s: tartan tiles, a wood-panelled facade, red-and-white checkered tablecloths, and a jukebox to tie it all together. The menu leans into that era just as deliberately, centering on red-based sauces as a nod to the golden “Red Sauce Joint” era — a decade of cultural liberation marked by the rise of disco and a deep love of Italian-American cooking. And like the era it draws from, Sabato’s is best experienced together. Everything on the menu is designed to be shared, family-style because here, a meal around the table is a celebration, a connection, and a sense of community all at once.

What to order: Godfather’s Meatball, Sabato’s Spicy Rigatoni, Grilled Malabar snapper, Knickerbocker Glory

Four Siblings

Another Malaysian first, Four Siblings is a spice-themed bar and lounge built around four essential spices deeply rooted in local cuisine: cinnamon, clove, cardamom, and star anise. It’s a fitting tribute to Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage — reinterpreted through a modern, cosmopolitan lens. With a beverage and tapas menu that puts these spices at the centre, it’s shaping up to be the next social hub for trendsetters, craft cocktail aficionados, and urban travellers alike. And when the night winds down, there’s no better place to end it — cocktail in hand, with the city skyline sprawled out before you.

What to order (it’s a long one): Flor Do Mar, Roots & Rhythm, Nutty Lime, Sip Happens, Rosca, Bees Sneeze, Clove & Vine, Warning: Cigarette Is Addictive
